Skripsi ini berjudul Karakter Visual Monkey D. Luffy dan Tony-Tony Chopper pada serial animasi One Piece episode Drum Island menggunakan kajian semiotika Roland Barthes (Denotasi Konotasi). Teori yang digunakan untuk mengungkap visual tersebut antara lain teori animasi, semiotika, psikologi warna, karakter. Menggunakan Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif mana berfokus penjelasan sistemetis tentang fakta-fakta diperoleh saat dilakukan dengan pendekatan Pustaka. memaparkan ulasan data mengenai karakter, gestur, warna Chopper. Berdasarkan hasil dari , peneliti dapat menarik kesimpulan bahwa dalam perancangan sebuah karakter animator mencipatkan desain tidak hanya bentuk saja, akan tetapi diciptakan mempunyai makna Peneliti mengharapkan memberikan kontribusi dunia khususnya Desain Komunikasi Universitas Negeri padang.
